The Titanic Museum Attractions in Pigeon Forge, Tenn. and Branson, Mo., are sponsoring the tours.

• Winners will receive airfare to and from Ireland, ground transportation and hotel accommodations. The tour moves from Belfast to Dublin, Cobh and Kilkenny, and includes a presentation by Rory Golden with the first-ever images of the discovered Titanic wreck.

• In May 1911, the RMS Titanic slid down Slipway No. 3 at the Queen’s Yard of Harland & Wolff into the Victoria Channel in Belfast, Ireland, while more than 100,000 people looked on. At the time, she was the largest movable manmade object on earth.

• The following April, Titanic set sail on her maiden voyage, carrying such celebrities as the Astors, the Strauses and Guggenheims. Four days later, she struck an iceberg on her starboard side, and the great ship sank in the early morning hours of April 15, 1912, with a loss of more than 1,500 people.

To enter, just register, upload your best photograph, and then spread the word. Use Facebook, Twitter and instant message to rack up the votes. Each week, 20 finalists are chosen by popular vote (one vote per day per person), and the judges will select five or six of their favorite shots to display on the “Judge’s Favorites” page. These photographers will receive $100 Adventure Center travel vouchers.

At the end of the contest on April 22, the top 20 photos with the highest votes move on as finalists. iExplore’s judges will choose the winner and runner-up based on creativity, photographic quality and composition. Winners will be notified on or around May 6, 2011. Contestants can enter more than once by registering with a different e-mail address.

The top prize winner, as judged by nine award-winning travel photographers, media writers, and popular vote, receives the Kenya safari for two. A second-place winner will receive his and her ExOfficio Storm Logic Jackets and a $500 iExplore travel voucher; prizes are also awarded to all finalists as well as 50 “Judge’s Favorites.”

The winner will receive a cottage for two for two nights from At Boulder’s Edge Tipi & Cabin Retreat, dinner for two at The Brass Ring, lunch for two at Etta’s Lunchbox Museum and Café, tickets for two on the Hocking Hills Canopy Tour Zipline Adventure and a Fun Package for two at Hocking Valley Canoe Livery.

To enter, just complete an entry form and submit photos and a statement of 200 words or less about why or how fun originated in Wisconsin. All winners will be chosen at random.

• One winner will receive a $2,500 Wisconsin Getaway Grand Prize package, which includes a $500 Visa/Mastercard Gift Card and $2,000 to be spent at a Wisconsin lodging destination of the winner’s choosing.

• One winner will receive a $1,000 Wisconsin Getaway First Place Prize package, which includes a $250 Visa/Mastercard Gift Card and $750 to be spent at a Wisconsin lodging destination of the winner’s choosing. Getaway trips must be reserved and taken between Oct. 1, 2010 and Sept. 4, 2011.

• Two entrants per week will win a weekly prize, including gas cards and tickets to events and festivals.

The “Life on Lake Erie” photo contest is open to amateur photographers age 16 and older. Digital images taken between July 9, 2009, and July 9, 2010, in and around the Lake Erie watershed can be submitted to the Ohio Lake Erie Commission (OLEC) through July 16.

Winning photographs will be featured on the OLEC Web site and will become part of the commission’s traveling photo gallery. The images will appear at prime Ohio shoreline locations throughout the year, including the University of Toledo’s Lake Erie Center in Oregon and the Lake Erie Shores & Islands Welcome centers in Port Clinton and Sandusky.

Ashley the SATW Traveling Teddy attended her first holiday cookie exchange this weekend, and got to pose with the once and future Cookie Queen, Leslie Laine. Leslie won the cookie smack-down last year, and repeated this year with double chocolate ginger cookies. Cookie competitors are members of the Ladies Discoursive and Digestive Society of Greater Cincinnati.

YUM! was Ashley’s verdict. The only thing that could have made them better was a big dollop of honey!
